Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic, (夢工場 ドキドキパニック Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panikku) which translates to Dream World: Doki Doki Panic in English is a video game released for the Famicom Disk System add-on in 1987.
As Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels was considered frustratingly difficult and too similar to Super Mario Bros. by Nintendo of America, this had Nintendo needing to make a quick convert to an easier Super Mario Bros. 2. They then decided to reskin Doki Doki Panic into Super Mario Bros. 2 for oversea players, as they had already started developing Super Mario Bros. 3 at the time, but with a few changes to suit the American audience and the Mario franchise.
