Trivia

  • The Offical Nintendo Magazine for 2010 erroneously refers to a picture of the Yoshi Star Galaxy as the Sky Station Galaxy. The photo also depicts Mario flying from the starting planet without Yoshi.
  • The Tower Planet is a returning planet from Super Mario Galaxy in Good Egg Galaxy, except with a few minor changes such as the fact that it looks slightly older and there are a few bones on it.
  • Also, the Tower Planet appears on the cover of Super Mario Galaxy 2 in the down right corner.
  • When blasting off from the Starting Planet, the volcano will erupt similarly to the Mt. Molten volcano in Melty Molten Galaxy from the first game, except that this volcano has smoke while Mt. Molten does not. Also, the player is not able to go inside the volcano, and it releases Star Bits when it erupts. Also, unlike the Melty Molten Galaxy, this Volcano simply explodes rather than continuously spewing out lava.
