Yellow Mario refers to various unidentifiable counterparts of Mario who wear yellow clothing. One such character first appears in the Mario Bros. remake for the Game Boy Advance, being player 3's character in either 3-player or 4-player mode. Just like Blue Mario, it is unknown whether he is just a colored copy of Mario, or if he is a relative.
In the files of Super Mario 3D World, there are unused icons of a Mario wearing yellow/orange clothing and the letter S. No connection between it and the Yellow Mario from Mario Bros. has been established, howewer, the icons are for a "sepperate character" from Mario.
