Yellow Eggs are a type of Yoshi Egg which appear in the Yoshi platforming games. They first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
Description[]
The only visual difference that Yellow Eggs have from regular Yoshi Eggs is that they have yellow spots. If a Yoshi throws a Yellow Egg at an enemy, it releases a coin.
One way a Yoshi can obtain a Yellow Egg is by throwing a regular Yoshi Egg against a surface once, turning it into a Yellow Egg, and then catching the egg. If a Yellow Egg bounces against a surface, it turns into a Red Egg. There is a yellow Egg Block that transforms into a Yellow Egg if jumped at from below, in the same manner as how red Egg Blocks turn into a Red Egg if jumped at.
