World 8-3 is the third level of World 8 in Super Mario Bros. and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. The player is given a time limit of 300 seconds to complete it.
Layout[]
This is an overworld course that features several castle backdrops. The player will encounter several Hammer Brothers throughout, plus several Bullet Bills and Turtle Cannons. There are only three pipes, each of which contain Piranha Plants and there are no secret areas. Unlike other typical courses, at the end is nothing other than a few floating stone blocks that the player must carefully leap across to reach the flagpole.
Challenges in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe[]
In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, there are five Red Coins and a hidden Yoshi Egg to collect. The player will also obtain a medal based on their score. The target score for this level is 28000.
Red Coin locations[]
- Red Coin #1 is located at the beginning, directly above the fortress. To the left is a Hidden Block that will help the player reach it.
- Red Coin #2 is located where the player encounters the first duo of Hammer Brothers. It is above the top row of Brick Blocks.
- Red Coin #3 is located on the small stone steps.
- Red Coin #4 is located where the player encounters the second duo of Hammer Brothers. It is found inside a new Coin Block, in the center of the top row of Brick Blocks.
- Red Coin #5 is located at the end of the course, above the floating stone blocks.
Yoshi Egg location[]
- The Yoshi Egg is found inside a Hidden Block, located directly above the left of the castle backdrop, following the second set of Hammer Brothers.
