World 8-1 is the first level of World 8 in Super Mario Bros. and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. The player is given a time limit of 300 seconds. It is the longest level in the game
Layout[]
This is an overworld course in which the player encounters a multitude of enemies such as Little Goombas, Buzzy Beetles, and Koopa Troopas, as well as a bunch of pipes that contain Piranha Plants. This level also contains a series of large and small pits, thus adding an additional challenge to jumping, as it causes some platforms to appear very narrow.
Quite a bit of coins are seen placed in the sky throughout. There is one secret area, which can be entered through a Warp Pipe not far from the starting position. Here, the player can collect some coins, plus strike a Ten-Coin Block.
