World 7-6 is a level from World 7 which appears in New Super Mario Bros.
Overview[]
This level is a sky overworld featuring Mushroom Platforms, Koopa Troopas, Koopa Paratroopas and Piranha Plants.
Walkthrough[]
Mario will find a yellow ? Block with a Super Mushroom or Fire Flower, and afterwards, Koopa Paratroopas will fly down the Mushroom Platforms, so you should jump over them. Afterwards, you'll encounter many more Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas alike. To deal with the nuisance, grab a red Koopa Shell and toss it on the highest Mushroom Platform to defeat the army of Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas. The Koopa Shell should also hit a ? Block with a 1-Up Mushroom in it. Next, jump over the next set of Koopa Troopas, Paratroopas and Piranha Plants.
You'll then reach some blue platforms with grass, crossing over the midway point. There are a series of Brick Blocks guarded by two green Paratroopas, one of which holds a power-up on the upper column, and one contains a Vine which will lead to the first Star Coin and an entry to the secret exit. Mario will also find the second Star Coin in an alcove guarded by more green Paratroopas.
The next segment features a few Warp Pipes with more Piranha Plants, with more Koopa Paratroopas to boot. Taking the yellow pipe will lead to an area with Mushroom Platforms, ? Blocks (one of which holds power-ups) and green Paratroopas to bounce off, which leads to a red Warp Pipe leading to the last Star Coin. There are more green Paratroopas that Mario will need to avoid going forward onto the level, so Fire Mario or Blue Shell Mario can make this last segment easier to traverse through. Mario can then bounce of a green Paratroopa to get top of the flagpole.
Secret Exit[]
Just after the midway point, break the Brick Blocks above and then hit the middle Brick Block to make a vine appear, whilst avoiding the Paratroopas. Mario will need to ride on a swinging Mushroom Platform and keep steady on it. Upon the end, he'll not only find the first Star Coin here, but also a green Warp Pipe leading to the Secret Exit. All Mario will need to do is jump off some green Paratroopas to reach the red flagpole. This will grant Mario access to World 7-7. On a side note, if you take the normal exit, you'll only be granted another pathway back to World 7-4.

Star Coins[]
- Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin can be found floating in midair right before the pipe leading to the secret exit.
- Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is in a closed-in area after the midway point, reached by jumping up to it from a lower path. It is guarded by two Koopa Paratroopas.
- Star Coin 3: To earn the final Star Coin, the player must enter a yellow pipe beyond the location of the second Star Coin. With good timing, the player needs to jump across the Koopa Paratroopas flying in midair in order to get to the pipe off to the right. The other side of the pipe will have the third Star Coin.
