World 7-1, is the thirty-third level of the game Super Mario 3D Land.

The level opens with Mario on a beach, and on the horizon is the level's Flagpole, on a ledge with three Warp Pipes. Upon running near the pole, however, Mario finds himself falling into a water-filled chasm where the rest of the level takes place. Like most water-based levels in the Mario platformers, several different Cheep-Cheep enemies patrol the paths in the level. The Checkpoint of the level is found after only a few turns in the chasm, before a large fall with several Purple Eels. Mario must swim at the bottom of this tunnel and then swim upward another behind the Eels. Atop this tunnel is the warp pipe to the ledge with the Flagpole.

If the player has a super leaf equipped it is possible to do this level in 6 seconds.

If the player does not have a Super Leaf, they can still use the shortcut by jumping at the edge and wall jumping off the side of the wall. This will give you a time of 8 seconds or greater.

Enemies that appeared in World 7-1:

Star Medals

  • Star Medal 1: Upon entering the water at the beginning level, Mario can find the first Star Medal behind blocks at the very bottom of the chasm.
  • Star Medal 2: The second Star Medal can be found between the lowest two Eels shortly after the checkpoint. Mario must swim upward from the right tunnel and quickly move in the tunnels in which the Eels are found while the Eels are out in the left tunnel.
  • Star Medal 3: The last Star Medal is located near the top of the right tunnel with the three Purple Eels. A small hole featuring a fourth Eel that goes inward into the wall is where the final Star Medal is.
