World 6-3 is the third level of World 6 in Super Mario Bros. and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. It is the only "ashen" level.
Layout[]
The player begins on a stretch of land, shortly before approaching the first platform. A vertically moving lift is placed after the third platform; it can help the player leap over a tall platform, followed by a jumping board and three horizontally moving lifts. Above the third lift is a ? Block containing a Power-Up Panels.
Ahead is a vertically moving lift followed by two sets of scale lifts. This is where Bullet Bills will begin to appear. Those are the only enemies encountered in this level. Here, some more platforms await, along with another jumping board that will help the player reach a horizontally moving lift and a scale. Finally, four platforms lie ahead, which will fall upon being stepped on. Just ahead is the flagpole.
Challenges in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe[]
In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, there are five Red Coins and a hidden Yoshi Egg to collect. The player will also obtain a medal based on their score. The target score for this level is 21000.
Red Coin locations[]
- Red Coin #1 is located on the platform following the first jumping board, underneath the lifts.
- Red Coin #2 is located under the vertically moving lift following the ? Block.
- Red Coin #3 is located on the tall platform following the second scale lift.
- Red Coin #4 is located on the platform following the second jumping board, under the lift.
- Red Coin #5 is located beneath the final platform.
Yoshi Egg location[]
- The Yoshi Egg is found inside a Hidden Block left of the platform underneath the third scale lift.
