World 6-2 is the second level of World 6 in Super Mario Bros. and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.
Layout
This level contains multiple Warp Pipes, most of which have Piranha Plants inside them. With this, the player can explore a total four secret areas. The first pipe leads to an underground bonus area where the player can collect some coins. From here, the player will be led out to the third pipe afterward. Following the first pipe is a Coin Block in the row of Brick Blocks above. There is a Hidden Block below that the player must reveal in order to reach it.
Three Piranha Plants and a Buzzy Beetle.
A Buzzy Beetle is seen between the pipes, along with two Brick Blocks. The one on the right holds a power-up. Right after this row of Brick Blocks is the Warp Pipe leads to an underwater area, where the player will encounter Bloobers, Cheep-Cheeps, and downward moving lifts. At the end is a pipe that leads back up to an area featuring Brick Blocks and a floating pipe. If the player does not take this underwater route, they can find a beanstalk in the far right Brick Block within the second row of Brick Blocks above. It will lead to Coin Heaven, which if taken, drops the player near the end of the level.
After the pipe, the player can emerge from the underwater section. The player can find a Starman in the Brick Block in the top-left, after crossing the large gap. The Warp Pipe that sits between the two stone structures will lead the player to another underground bonus area where more coins can be gathered, along with a power-up. The flagpole lies just ahead, following the last remaining pipes.
Challenges in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, there are five Red Coins and a hidden Yoshi Egg to collect. The player will also obtain a medal based on their score. The target score for this level is 30000.
Red Coin locations
- Red Coin #1 is located in the first underground bonus area.
- Red Coin #2 is located between the two rows of Brick Blocks, along with the Yoshi Egg and the beanstalk.
- Red Coin #3 is located inside the Brick Block above the exit pipe from the underwater area.
- Red Coin #4 is located inside the middle block within the bottom row of Brick Blocks from the Starman power-up.
- Red Coin #5 is located where they player would find the power-up in the second underground bonus area.
Yoshi Egg location
- The Yoshi Egg is found inside the Brick Block to the far right within the row before the one containing the beanstalk.
