World 5-3 is the third level of World 5 in Super Mario Bros. and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.
Layout[]
This course shares a similar layout with World 1-3, except that the moving lifts are smaller, and Bullet Bills are constantly being fired towards the player from ahead.
Two platforms, six coins, and a Bullet Bill.
Following the short ground section is a short treetop that can help the player reach two more treetops, which contain a Koopa Troopa and three coins. Three more trees lie ahead; the higher one has two Little Goombas on it. From the top of the third and taller tree, the player can reach a shorter treetop. There will also be a platform that can help the player reach the top of a tall treetop containing four coins. Beneath this treetop is a shorter one that contains the only ? Block in this course. It contains a power-up.
Next up are two treetops, followed by a Koopa Paratroopa, plus another treetop with a Little Goomba on it. Two horizontally moving platforms are found here, and there are coins floating above them. Two treetops follow are located right after them. The first treetop is smaller and less wide than the following one, which has a Koopa Troopa on it. The player will then approach a short treetop containing three coins, with a Koopa Paratroopa above it. Two similar trees lie ahead. They can be used to reach a platform, which will allow the player to jump onto the stone platform, shortly before the flagpole.
Challenges in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe[]
In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, there are five Red Coins and a hidden Yoshi Egg to collect. The player will also obtain a medal based on their score. The target score for this level is 23000.
Red Coin locations[]
- Red Coin #1 is located on the fourth treetop from the beginning of the course.
- Red Coin #2 is located above the two horizontally moving lifts.
- Red Coin #3 is also located above the two horizontally moving lifts.
- Red Coin #4 is located high above the platform following the previous moving lifts.
- Red Coin #5 is located near the end, on the treetop with the Koopa Paratroopa above it.
Yoshi Egg location[]
- The Yoshi egg is found inside a Hidden Block coming right after the large stone structure at the end.
