World 4-Castle is a level from World 4 which appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Overview[]

This is the second-to-last level of World 4.

Walkthrough[]

This course features fences that can be held onto, along with some Climbing Koopas that cling onto the fences. The player can sometimes also use flip panels to change which side of the fences they can hang on from. Additionally, horizontal long-reaching Spike Pillars make their appearance throughout the first half of the level, as well as the last half of it. Wet Bones make their first appearance in this game here.

The player faces Wendy O. Koopa for a second time here and uses the same tactics as before. However, due to Kamek's magic, at times the water level rises, which renders jump attacks useless while Wendy is underwater. The tidal levels recede after the water floods the room, stomp on Wendy as soon as the levels recede or toss fireballs at her, avoid her shell attacks as well as the Death Rings she fires from her wand and be sure to stomp on her again immediately, because Wendy has the advantage underwater you will definitely want to avoid her attacks and stomp her as quickly as possible. After getting hit three times, Wendy is defeated, and allow Mario and co. to get the key out of the castle.

Enemies[]

Star Coins[]

  • Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin is floating above the fourth Spike Pillar, behind a grate platform. Mario and co. must find a grate platform with a door, hit the door, then return to the grate platform with the Star Coin and jump to it.
  • Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is not far after the first one, between two Spike Pillars. Mario and co. must either wait for the Spike Pillars to retract then quickly grab the Star Coin before they launch again, or freeze an enemy and throw it down to collect the coin.
  • Star Coin 3: Just under Wendy's door is a green Warp Pipe. Mario and co. should wait for the Spike Pillar to retract, then go in the Pipe. Once there, Mario and co. should swim down to the third Star Coin while avoiding the Wet Bones.
