Boss battle[]

NSMB World 4-Castle Morton Battle

The Mario Bros. battling Morton Koopa Jr.

In the battle, Morton jumps out of a large Warp Pipe, and uses his wand to cast Spiked Balls. He can also pound the ground which stuns Mario and Luigi if they are on the ground. The Bros. simply jump on him three times or fire 18 fireballs if they are Fire Mario or Fire Luigi. After each time he is hit, Morton spins off screen on the bottom ground, and re-appears via the large Warp Pipe on the ceiling, back on higher ground. After defeating him, the Bros. collect the keys to open the gate, where Princess Peach and Ludwig von Koopa await them. As they reach them, Ludwig taunts before running off with the princess, and the Bros. chase them to World 5.

Star Coin Locations[]

  • Star Coin 1: At the section with two Fire Bars and sets of stairs lies the first Star Coin. To collect it, avoid grabbing the four Coins located near it and hit the P Switch to turn the coins into Brick Blocks, allowing the player to collect the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: Shortly after the Checkpoint Flag, with the section with some Big Spiked Balls and a regular sized one with some Snake Blocks lies the second Star Coin. Let the Big Spiked Ball on the right move away from the Star Coin first to collect it.
  • Star Coin 3: At the platform with some sets of stairs and a Fire Bar lies a red Warp Pipe. Enter it to find the final Star Coin. Traverse through the Snake Blocks and Spiked Balls to collect it.
