World 4-2 is the eighteenth level of the game Super Mario 3D Land.
Layout[]
Mario begins the level at the bottom of a towering underground road, filled with several types of blocks. As Mario progresses into the upper levels, more Goombas stacked upon each other will appear. There are also a few Exclamation Blocks that, when hit, make large yellow blocks appear. Along the way to the Warp Pipe that leads to the level's Flagpole, Mario can use the bouncing mushrooms to his advantage and jump near the wall on the far-left side, near the top. Doing so followed with a wall-kick will lead Mario up to a secret Warp Zone. This secret orange pipe leads into World 5.
Star Medals[]
- Star Medal 1: Near the beginning of the level is a small blue block against the wall. Mario can wall-jump while on top of it below the shadow of a spinning coin. Doing so will grant Mario the first Star Medal.
- Star Medal 2: The second Star Medal is found in a secret tunnel accessed via crouching in a small pass near the third tower of Goombas.
- Star Medal 3: The third Star Medal is found by wall-kicking on a group of yellow blocks created by a ! block. Atop these blocks is the Star Medal.
