World 2-4 is the fourth level of World 2 in Super Mario Bros. and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.
Layout[]
The player will begin atop some stairs that will lead to a lava pit. This pit has Podoboos jumping out, and this are platforms placed above it. Above the center platform is the only ? Block in this level, which contains a power-up. Following the lava are two paths with Fire-Bars lining it. The top path has more than Fire-Bars than the bottom. Up ahead are two lifts moving in vertical directions opposite to each other. This is followed by gaps placed before the boss fight area. The fake Bowser breathes fire towards the player as they cross these gaps.
Challenges in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe[]
In Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, there are five Red Coins and a hidden Yoshi Egg to collect. The player will also obtain a medal based on their score. The target score for this level is 14000.
Red Coin locations[]
- Red Coin #1 is located high above the right side of the pit of lava.
- Red Coin #2 is located at the end of the top path of Fire-Bars.
- Red Coin #3 is located at the top of upward moving lift.
- Red Coin #4 is located above one of the gaps near the end of the level.
- Red Coin #5 is located above the fake Bowser.
Yoshi Egg location[]
- The Yoshi Egg is found inside a Hidden Block above the empty block, before the boss area.
