World 2-1 is the sixth level of Super Mario 3D Land.
Layout[]
World 2-1 features a large white castle, which is accessed about halfway through the level. Mario traverses several small plains containing mostly Goombas in the beginning parts of the level. This is also the first level in which cardboard enemies/items appear. They serve only as a distraction to Mario. Up the castle, several platforms move about, and Mario must climb the wall to the top. A block that teleports Mario to the top of the castle leads to the end of the level. By using a switch to make a collapsing bridge, Mario makes his way to the Flagpole and thus the end of the level.
Star Medal Locations[]
Star Medal 1 - Use the binoculars and seek for Toad. He'll throw the Star Medal lands in the small cliff-like area on the corner. It can be accessed with two mushroom bouncers.
Star Medal 2 -Take out the Piranha Plant that is hanging out on the pipe and enter the pipe. Go on the eye platform to reveal the locations of the blocks and grab the Star Medal.
Star Medal 3 - While going through the Castle-like area, there is a pathway behind the stairs with only two steps while on the second floor of the area. Use the path behind those stairs and grab the third and last Star Medal.
