World 1 is the first world in Super Mario Bros. and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.
Description[]
It is a grassland located in the Mushroom Kingdom. It is mostly inhabited by Little Goombas and Koopa Troopas. It consists of an overworld course, an underground course, a treetop course, and the castle.
On the world map from Deluxe, it features several trees, two pipes, some rocks, and a body of water. Located on the far west is 1-1. Just east of it is 1-2, which sits next to a pipe that will lead the player to another pipe on the south end. East of the second pipe is 1-3, which is situated on a small island. The castle sits just ahead of it.

This is the castle level of this world, and overall the very first castle course in the game. The only ordinary enemy here is the Fire-Bar. However, the boss of this level is a Little Goomba masquerading as the fake Bowser. The player is given a time limit of 300 seconds. |

- All levels in this world were made available in Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 as e-Reader levels. Before the game was released for Wii U, only the first level was available worldwide.
