World 1-Castle is the last level from World 1 which appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Layout
The level is filled with numerous obstacles, many of which are hazardous. Mario and Co. must navigate their way through many spinning gears and Thwomps in order to face Larry.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin can be found floating above the fourth gear. Mario and his friends can choose between jumping to it from the same gear or use the third gear to reach a secret platform and fall onto it. Alternatively, a Propeller Mushroom can be used.
- Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is blocked off by some blocks underneath the first Big Thwomp. Mario should trick the Thwomp into falling to destroy the blocks before collecting the Star Coin while the Thwomp is ascending. Mario can hide in a hole in the bottom of the area to gain more time to escape.
- Star Coin 3: At the very last gear, instead of continuing forward, Mario must fall off it and onto the green pipe which is below it. This leads to an area containing a P Switch, a row of coins, and a row of Brick Blocks. Once the P Switch is activated, the rows switch places and the third Star Coin is accessible temporarily.
