Wolf O'Donnell

Wolf O'Donnell (commonly goes by just Wolf) is a playable character in the Super Smash Bros. series. He is from the Star Fox series serving as the main anti-hero/arch-rival to Fox.

Biography

Wolf O'Donnell is an anthropomorphic wolf who is both the leader of the Star Wolf mercenary team and rival to Fox McCloud. Star Wolf is initially hired by Andross to take down the Star Fox team; although unsuccessful in doing so, the dogfights between the two teams results in Wolf developing both a grudging respect for Fox and a desire to defeat him in a rematch.

Super Smash Bros.

He is one of the many playable characters in Super Smash Bros.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Wolf is a secret character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl who can be unlocked by either participating in 450 brawls, clearing Boss Battles with Fox/Falco, or a secret door in The Ruins stage of The Subspace Emissary after clearing the mode once. His look is based on his appearances in Star Fox Assault and Star Fox Command.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Wolf returns as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In Wolf's case, he has a longer snout and a normal eyepatch, while his visible eye is slightly larger and has a red iris. Unlike Fox and Falco, however, Wolf's attire is entirely original to Ultimate, in spite of Starlink: Battle for Atlas being released almost two whole months before Ultimate and fully depicting him in attire based on his appearance in Star Fox Zero.

Trivia

Wolf's line, "You're good. But I'm better!" in Ultimate was recycled from Star Fox 64 and Star Fox 64 3D.
