For the identically-named enemy in Wario World, see Witch (enemy).

Witch is the fourth boss of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. She is fought in the Pumpkin Zone.

Profile[]

Physical description[]

Witch bears a similar appearance to a regular witch. She wears an indigo dress and hat as well as yellow slippers. Some spiked blonde hair can be seen sticking out from her hat. Witch has a big bulbous nose with a few warts on it.

Powers and abilities[]

The Witch has the ability to teleport and cast fire bolts with her wand, as shown in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.

In Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins[]

Mario encounters the Witch at the end of Witch's Mansion Course, in a single-screen room. The fire bolts shot by Witch are directed toward the pots in the kitchen. When a pot boils and Mario is standing on it, he is at risk of touching the spikes on the ceiling, capable of damaging him. Mario must attack the Witch by either jumping onto her or throwing a fireball at her. After either being jumped on three times or having six fireballs thrown at her, the Witch is defeated.

The Witch is featured as one of the icons in the casino area. If its landed on, Mario loses the game, and the Witch can be seen sticking her tongue out at him.

The Witch's appearance in Mario vs. Wario

The Witch is the third boss fought by Mario. At first, she shoot fireballs at Mario, who trips over a small rock. As a result, the fireball ends up hitting Big Bird in the nearby bush. The Witch becomes angry, stating that she needs to work on her aim. The Witch then boils her cauldron to launch the lids at Mario, but as he jumps, both of Mario's shoes each become stuck within one of the handles. The lids somehow enable Mario to walk across the water, and he thanks the Witch for involuntarily helping him as she yells, asking Mario how he managed to do it.
