A wish is a term used to describe a hope or a desire that someone has. Wishes themselves are abstract, and only exist in the form of a plot element. In the Mario franchise, wishes first appear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, and mostly appear within the role-playing games, in part because the genre relies heavily on plot.
