Winky the Frog is an Animal Buddy found in Donkey Kong Country that allies Donkey and Diddy Kong throughout their adventure to regain their bananas from King K. Rool mainly in Monkey Mines. He can be found in four levels: Winky's Walkway, Bouncy Bonanza, Millstone Mayhem, and Rope Bridge Rumble. Winky has very similar abilities to Rattly due to both bouncing with extreme heights. Winky also is able to defeat enemies that Donkey and Diddy cannot defeat such as Zingers.

- It is known that Winky, along with Expresso are Cranky Kong's favorite Animal Buddies.
- Flibbits, characters from Banjo-Kazooie resemble Winky in some ways.
