- Not to be confused with Windmill Village, a location in Super Mario Sunshine.
Windmillville is a board in Mario Party 7.
In Mario Party 7[]
The goal is to invest in windmills that will earn the players Stars. The gameplay --and mechanics-- of this board was recycled for a board in Mario Party 8 (that being, Koopa's Tycoon Town).
The player with the most amount of coins invested into a windmill will get the number of stars that that windmill has. There are a total of seven windmills on the board map, each with a varying amount of stars, going up to three. There are four red windmills (which are 1 star windmills), two green windmills (which are 2 star windmills), and in the center is a large yellow windmill (which is a 3 star windmill).
This board has a fixed and limited number of attainable stars. Because when all windmills --on this board-- are under ownership, the minimum is 4 stars (counting only the 1 star windmills) and the maximum is 11 (counting all windmills).
During Bowser Time, there is the possibility that Bowser may jump upon a random windmill causing it to be destroyed. When this happens, the coins invested into the windmill will be lost, and the owner will lose their stars. He may also send Koopa Kid to steal coins from a random windmill. There's a chance this robbery will backfire, leaving Koopa Kid with no coins and with Bowser grounding him.
As a special stipulation, single player DK minigames --via DK Spaces-- can only result with receiving coins (10, 20, or 30 coins), single player Bowser minigames --via Bowser Spaces-- can only result with losing coins (10 coins, half of coins, or all coins), and stars cannot be bet in duels.
Solo Cruise[]
On Solo Cruise, the player (or the opponent) wins by acquiring three stars. They must get three stars through windmill investment.
Trivia[]
- This is one of the two boards in the Mario Party series to have a fixed and limited number of attainable stars (11). The second board is Koopa's Tycoon Town in Mario Party 8 (21).
