Wild Swing-Ding is one of Wario's moves which first appears in Wario World.

Description[]

Wild Swing-Ding consistently involves Wario spinning around a character, enemy, or object he is holding.

In Wario World, Wario can use Wild Swing-Ding by grabbing an enemy or a heavy object and rotating the Control Stick clockwise or counterclockwise. After rotating the Control Stick a few times, Wario begins to spin the enemy or object he is holding automatically, during which the player can move Wario around using the Control Stick. The player can press B Button to end the move prematurely, but after several spins, Wario drops the enemy or object on his own. The Wild Swing-Ding allows Wario to defeat an enemy is holding, and by extension he can also defeat or otherwise damage any enemy that he spins the enemy into while performing the move.

In Super Mario 64 DS, the move is used on opponents in VS mode, but there is no longer any autospin function.

In Wario World[]

Wild Swing-Ding is often required to progress through levels, such as to open a gate by spinning a nearby wheel or to raise a platform.

In Super Mario 64 DS[]

The move is exclusively used in VS mode, specifically by a Yoshi wearing a Wario Cap.

In Super Smash Bros. series[]

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wild Swing-Ding is Wario's forward throw, but for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it was changed to his back throw.
