Wild Swing-Ding is one of Wario's signature moves. It first appears in Wario World.

Description[]

Wild Swing-Ding consistently involves Wario spinning around a character, enemy, or object he is holding.

In Wario World, after grabbing an enemy or a heavy object, Wario can spin it around as the player rotates the Control Stick either clockwise or counterclockwise. If the player rotates the Control Stick a few times, Wario begins to spin automatically, allowing the player to use the Control Stick to move Wario around while he continues to spin the enemy or object. The player can press B Button to end the move prematurely, but after about 23 spins, Wario drops the enemy or object on his own. The Wild Swing-Ding allows Wario to defeat an enemy is holding as well as defeat or otherwise damage the enemy he is holding in the process.

In Super Mario 64 DS, the user cannot automatically use the move regardless of how much the player spins them around.

In Wario World[]

Wild Swing-Ding is often required to progress through courses, as Wario can use the move on a nearby Swirly Spinner or Swirly Slab to open a nearby gate or raise a platform.

In Super Mario 64 DS[]

The move is titled Swing and Fling.[1] The move is used only VS mode, specifically by a Yoshi wearing a Wario Cap.

In Super Smash Bros. series[]

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wild Swing-Ding is Wario's forward throw, but for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Wario uses it as his back throw instead.
