Wild Ptooie Piranha

Wild Ptooie Piranhas are a variant of Piranha Plants and a type of enemy in the Yoshi platforming games. Wild Ptooie Piranhas first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Wild Ptooie Piranhas have a light green head.

Behavior[]

A Wild Ptooie Piranha attacks a Yoshi by spitting three Needlenoses at him. Just like Wild Piranha, if a Yoshi touches a Wild Ptooie Piranha, it catches him in its mouth for a few seconds, triggering the Countdown Timer, before spitting Yoshi back out. A Wild Ptooie Piranha can be attacked by throwing an object at it three times; upon its first hit, Wild Ptooie Piranha turns yellow, then red if hit a second time. A Yoshi can instantly defeat a Wild Ptooie Piranha by rolling a Chomp Rock onto it. In Yoshi's Island DS, an egg thrown by Baby DK can also defeat a Wild Ptooie Piranha instantly.
