Not to be confused with Wiggler Train.

Wiggler Wagons (also referred to as Caterpillar Buses) are a vehicle in the Mario Kart series. They first appear in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!.

Description[]

Wiggler Wagons are vehicles designed after the Wiggler boss from Super Mario Sunshine. If any racers drive into a Wiggler Wagon, their kart flips while the racer in the back holds on, letting out the same yell as if they had been hit with a Bob-omb. They also lose any item they are carrying, and the kart briefly moves slower. As the kart moves, it makes a noise, and the volume of it can increase if incessant contact with the Wiggler Wagon is made.

Unlike other vehicle obstacles, Wiggler Wagons cannot be launched into the air by touching it under the effects of a Star or by hitting it with a Bob-omb or Bowser's Shell. Heavyweight karts can possibly push other racers into a Wiggler Wagon to knock them out.

In Mario Kart series[]

Mario Kart: Double Dash!![]

A Wiggler Wagon can found in Mushroom Bridge, and sports ten body segments, whereas the one at Mushroom City has a length of six body segments long. In multiplayer races, the Wiggler Wagon of Mushroom Bridge instead has five segments, likely to prevent the game lagging. The Wiggler Wagon of Mushroom Bridge is the slowest vehicle in its lane. Contrarily, Mushroom City features the Wiggler Wagon as the fastest vehicle in its lane on the lower level.

Mario Kart Tour[]

Wiggler Wagons return in GCN Mushroom Bridge, following an absence from the course's reappearance in Mario Kart DS.
