Wario Land WarioWare Mario Kart

Wario's Car is a vehicle owned and driven by Wario in some of his appearances, both in the Wario franchise and the Mario franchise alike. It is one of his main vehicles, alongside the Bulldog and the Wario Bike. The Wario Car is purple like Wario's nose, and has an emblem of his mustache on the front. The Wario Car first appears in Wario Land 4.

Description[]

Wario's Car is purple and has a decal of his mustache on the front. It is based on the Batmobile from the Batman franchise. The Wario Car has a windshield in the Wario games but not in the Mario Kart series. In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, given that two characters ride each vehicle, the Wario Car had its design altered to allow a character to ride on the back.

In Wario Land series[]

Wario Land 4[]

In the intro, when Wario learns from a newspaper article about a pyramid and the large amount of treasure hidden within it, he gets into the Wario Car and drives his way through the desert until reaching the pyramid. The title screen shows Wario driving his car through the desert.

In the Topaz Passage levels, one of the enemies encountered is Toy Car, which has the appearance of a small Wario driving the Wario Car, but with spikes on its front.

In the ending credits for Normal Mode, Wario is seen driving the Wario Car through the desert during sunset, and a bag with the treasure he obtained is on the back of the Wario Car. In Hard Mode, Wario instead drives a pick-up truck during this scene, and in Super Hard Mode, he drives a futuristic hover-car.

The Wario Car is featured in the downloadable microgame Braking News, in which Wario has to stop the Wario Car at least ten miles from a cliff leading off into the water, an objective similar to the Mario Party-e minigame Wario's Bluff.

WarioWare Gold[]

The microgame Road Wario involves Wario having to drive and navigate his Wario Car to the end. The original WarioWare: Smooth Moves iteration of the microgame, Driver's Ed, features a regular car and driver, but this was changed in the WarioWare: Gold iteration, possibly because it was changed from being a Kat and Ana microgame to a Wario microgame.

WarioWare: Get It Together![]

The Wario Car makes a cameo appearance in one of 18-Volt's gallery photos, in which 18-Volt poses front of the car while 13-Amp lies on the hood of the car.

In Mario Kart series[]

Mario Kart: Double Dash!![]

The Wario Car is the signature kart of Wario. It has good speed and poor acceleration. The Wario Car is lighter in comparison to the other heavyweight karts. It has the same weight as both the Parade Kart and Turbo Birdo, the same top speed as both the Green Fire and Parade Kart, and the same acceleration as both the Green Fire and Barrel Train. If the Wario Car is hit by a Starman, Bowser's Shell, or other item that can briefly drag the character in the back, it can get flipped high up due to being flat like the Parade Kart.

Mario Kart Arcade GP[]

MKAGP Wario Car icon

The Wario Car is one of Wario's special items. It has the same invincibility function as a Star, and while the item is active, Wario's kart changes into the Wario Car itself. Once the item's effects wear off, the Wario Car reverts back to Wario's usual kart. The item has a variant named Wario Car+, which extends the duration of the invincibility.

Mario Kart Arcade GP 2[]

The Wario Car is used by Wario as his special kart. It has very high top speed and high weight, but its acceleration is very low. The Wario Car item does not return from Mario Kart Arcade GP because all characters now have the Star as their invincibility item.

Crossover appearances[]

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]

The Wario Car is featured as a sticker, more specifically its Mario Kart: Double Dash!! iteration, and the sticker depicts its artwork from the game. It can only be used by Wario during Adventure Mode: The Subspace Emissary, in which it increases his launch power by 47.

Tomodachi Life[]

The Wario Car makes a cameo appearance in the Photo Studio background Promo (Rock & Roll).
