Waddlewing's Nest is the third level of Rock-Candy Mines in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked via completion of Grinding-Stone Tower or Shifting-Floor Cave, and its own completion opens the path to a red Exclamation Mark Switch, a spot where a Bubble Baby Yoshi resides, a green Toad House, and Walking Piranha Plants!.

As the title implies, this course mainly houses Waddlewings. Piranha Plants in pipes and Chain Chomps are also present in this course.
Walkthrough[]
Waddlewings get a level for themselves. At the start, do a Ground Pound on the yellow nail to free the Chain Chomp and Ground Pound the bricks to go in the wall past it for free coins. Make your way up the tilting platforms and beware of the Piranha Plants. You want to jump onto the red pipe and go down. Ground Pound down the second row of bricks and get Star Coin #1 and get out once you reach the bottom. As you continue back upward, you may notice a Waddlewing fly through the wall. That's a clue to go inside yourself and there is a P-switch. Hit it and you'll see blue coins leading somewhere. Follow them and you'll end up in a wall and get a boost from the note blocks and you will get Star Coin #2 here. Get to top and hit the checkpoint flag.
Enter the pipe to the right. Ride on the platform as it falls. Avoid being hit by Waddlewings during the descent. You will have a chance to wall jump to get Star Coin #3. Knock out the Chain Chomp nails once you reach the bottom and enter the pipe leading to the end of the level.

Star Coins[]
- Star Coin 1: After a series of green Warp Pipes with Piranha Plants is a lone red Warp Pipe that leads to the area with the first Star Coin. To reach it the player will need to Ground Pound through the second set of bricks.
- Star Coin 2: Within a hidden wall on the right, the P-Switch is required to collect it.
- Star Coin 3: During the elevator section, in plain sight.
