Volcano Lotuses are enemies which first appear in Super Mario World.

Profile[]

Volcano Lotuses are plants that attack by shooting fireballs upward.

In Super Mario World[]

Volcano Lotus Donut Plains 1

Volcano Lotuses appear in many levels. They spit small fireballs into the air, which proceed to fall slowly after reaching their highest point. A Volcano Lotus can be defeated either by having Cape Mario spinning his cape on them or from having Yoshi eat it. A Volcano Lotus is not affected by a Spin Jump, but it bounces off Mario/Luigi, which also occurs if a Volcano Lotus is stomped while riding Yoshi. Mario or Luigi take damage from a Volcano Lotus if they either touch it or its fireballs or jump on a Volcano Lotus without Yoshi.

Volcano Lotuses first appear in Donut Plains 1 and later again in Tubular and Groovy.

In Super Princess Peach[]

Volcano Plant

Volcano Plants first appear in Ladida Plains. They throw fireballs that Princess Peach must avoid. Peach can defeat a Volcano Lotus by whacking it with Perry. Volcano Plants received their own Calm variant, Calm Volcano Plant.
