Very Gnawty is the first boss found in Donkey Kong Country who resembles a giant Gnawty. He is the boss of Kongo Jungle. Very Gnawty can be attacked by Donkey and Diddy by simply jumping on him. He progressively becomes quicker and jumps further after each time Donkey and Diddy jumps on him. Donkey and Diddy must then counter Very Gnawty's attacks and jump on him four more times to defeat Very Gnawty.
Very Gnawty has the same appearance as Really Gnawty, except that one is green and the other is brown. This was switched in the Game Boy Advance remake.

- Very Gnawty is a pun on "very naughty".
- After Donkey and Diddy defeat Really Gnawty in Gorilla Glacier, they can find Very Gnawty in Donkey Kong's Treehouse that finds out that Donkey and Diddy have entered and hops out of the treehouse. This only happens once per file however.
