The VS. System is a series of arcade system released by Nintendo from 1984 through 1990. Its games consist of various adaptations of Nintendo Entertainment System games, such as VS. Super Mario Bros., which was reissue of Super Mario Bros. with some original levels that later appeared in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Years later, VS. System games were among several ported to the Nintendo Switch as purchasable Arcade Archives titles. VS. Systems were designed as either traditional upright arcade cabinets or in tabletop form.
