Template:Enemy Unagi is an eel species found in the Mario series. Unagi are found initially in Jolly Roger Bay, the third level of Super Mario 64. While it is impossible to defeat Unagi, he is needed to obtain two stars from Jolly Roger Bay. Touching Unagi will deduct three points of Mario's HP.
For the first star, Plunder in the Sunken Ship, Unagi is blocking the entrance to the sunken ship and needs to be lured away, allowing entrance. He returns to use in the second star, "Can The Eel Come out to Play?." Again, Mario needs to lure him out of his cave in order to obtain the star on his tail guickly.
They later appear in New Super Mario Bros. in underwater levels as regular enemies. This game also introduced Mega Unagis.
Unagis also appear in Super Mario Odyssey in Seaside Kingdom in the underwater sections.
Description
Unagi is a burgundy eel that also has yellow stripes on its back fin. It also has sharp teeth.
