The Ultra Hammer is the strongest hammer upgrade featured in a few Mario Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Mario .

The Ultra Hammer is obtained in Smithy Factory . It is located within a treasure chest shortly before the battle against Count Down . The Ultra Hammer is only usable by Mario , and it increases his Attack power. The Ultra Hammer shares the same sprite as the regular hammer, but its artwork depicts it with a light yellow head, metal linings, and the word "ULTRA" capitalized in red text on the side.
The Ultra Hammer is obtained by Mario in Mt. Lavalava . Aside from being a stronger variation of the Hammer, the Ultra Hammer allows Mario to smash Metal Blocks on the overworld.
The Ultra Hammer is obtained within a chest in Rogueport 's plaza. It can similarly destroy Stone Blocks on the overworld.

Mario and Luigi are each given their own Ultra Hammer from the Hammerhead Bros. as an upgrade to their Super Hammer .
