Tweeter is an enemy which first appears in Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic and its Western conversion Super Mario Bros. 2.
Physical description[]
A Tweeter is a hopping bird which wears a red mask. In its original appearances, Tweeter has a white body, but in Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance, Tweeters instead have a light purple body.
In Super Mario Bros. 2[]
Tweeter has simple straightforward movements, although the pattern consists of three short hops followed by a fourth higher hop. A Tweeter turns around upon hitting a wall. Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Toadstool can defeat a Tweeter by either picking it up and throwing it at another enemy or by throwing an object such as a Mushroom Block at it.
In Super Mario Bros. & Friends: When I Grow Up[]
A Tweeter makes a cameo appearance under the Veterinarian page, eyeing Luigi as he puts a stethoscope on Raccoon Mario's heart.
In WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase[]
A Tweeter is one of the enemies with a possibility of appearing in the Mario Adv. microgame, the other being Shy Guy, Big Shy Guy, and Ninji. The object is for Mario to defeat it or one of the aforementioned enemies using a vegetable.
Unused appearances[]
Tweeter was going to appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island as an enemy before being scrapped during the game's development.
