Triple Bananas are an item which appear throughout the Mario Kart series. They function like a regular Banana item, but the user is given three Bananas, and upon using the item, these Bananas trail behind their kart. The Triple Banana is similar to the Triple Green Shells and Triple Red Shells, which grant three Green Shells or Red Shells that circle the user's kart, respectively.
Triple Bananas first appear in Mario Kart Arcade GP, and have since replaced the Banana Bunches from Mario Kart 64, which function the same but yield five Bananas instead of three.
