Trash Landing is a 4-player and a Duel minigame which appears in Mario Party DS.
Layout[]
The minigame takes place within a garage. At the start is a short but giant stepladder where five ropes (three in Duel mode) are found. At the end is an oil slick with five objects on it (three in Duel mode): a red tool box, a soda can, a bucket, and two oil cans.
Gameplay[]
While on a stepladder, each character has five seconds to choose a rope to swing from; the characters cannot select the same rope as one another. Once the time is up, each character grabs on to whichever rope they chose, and the rope travels straightforward. After a few seconds, when the characters approach an oil slick, they each to land onto an object their rope takes them to. Each rope leads to a different garage object, the placement of which is randomized by the minigame each time it is played and not revealed to the characters while they are selecting a rope. Each landing object is differently sized, affecting the character's ability to land on it. The toolbox is the largest of these objects.
Whoever manages land successfully is the winner. If every character is unsuccessful at landing, the minigame ends in a tie.
Controls[]
(left or right): Move between the ropes at the start

Trivia[]
