Trapdoors are an object in Wario World.

Description[]

There are two main types of trapdoors, wooden trapdoors and steel trapdoors. Both types lead down into a contained underground area with an expansive obstacle course in the air and no solid ground. If Wario falls off a floating platform, he is forced to restart, bu he does not lose any health in the process. The reward for completing the area is a Red Diamond or sometimes possibly a Gold Statue piece, Spriteling, or a wooden chest. As the game progresses, the trapdoor areas become increasingly difficult, with some even featuring a reward halfway through rather than at the end.

Wooden trapdoors can be distinguished from steel trapdoors in that they have two white bandages shaped like an "X" on them. Wooden trapdoors are weaker, as Wario can enter one by either ground-pounding it or using a Piledriver, whereas steel trapdoors can only be entered using a Piledriver.

Another type of trapdoor is the goal trapdoor, which appears at the end of a course, and entering it leads to a boss battle. A Stone Doohickey sits on a goal trapdoor, and it can only be removed by bringing a certain number of red diamonds.
