Tragic Carpet Ride

Tragic Carpet Ride (also called Mind Over Mattermouth in Europe) is a general minigame in Mario Party: Island Tour.

Opening[]

All players walk into a room, the players gasp when the floor disappears.

Gameplay[]

Mattermouths enters the room and eats the carpet. The players should avoid the holes on the carpet, resulting them to fall off. Bumping the Mattermouth results the player to be stunned. The last player to fall or standing is the winner.

Etymology[]

The name, Tragic Carpet Ride is a pun of "magic carpet ride". The PAL name is a pun "mind over matter."

Trivia[]

The music, Danger Closing In is reused in Tox Box Shocks.
