Tox Box Shuffle

Tox Box Shuffle is a shell game-inspired minigame featured in Super Mario 64 DS. It is listed as being one of Yoshi's minigames.

Gameplay[]

There are three Tox Boxes, which shuffle themselves around for a few seconds, and one of them contains Green Yoshi, whose position is shown just before the Tox Boxes slam down and shuffle themselves around. The player has to use the Stylus to tap the correct Tox Box containing Yoshi to earn a point. Starting with level 4, a Cyan Yoshi is thrown into the mix, and the minigame either asks which Tox Box Green Yoshi or Cyan Yoshi is beneath. The difficulty increases with each level as the Tox Boxes move around more quickly. If the player guesses incorrectly twice, it is a Game Over.

Like the Boom Box minigame, Mario's head appears on the upper screen; it does not serve any gameplay purpose, and merely reacts based on which action is performed within the minigame.
