Tokyo Blur is the special track of the Tokyo and New Year's tour from Mario Kart Tour. The track is a course inspired by Tokyo, Japan. Featuring the Rainbow Bridge and Ginza as traversable areas.

Layout[]

Compass directions apply to how the map is oriented in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

In Mario Kart Tour, racers start on the rainbow bridge, facing north. After they take a right turn, which route racers will take is dictated by the chosen layout.

  • First route: The second turn in the first route has a slight left, so racers end up heading northeast. Afterwards, racers make a 180 degree loop back around clockwise (facing southwest as a result) and then make a slight left a little past the first left turn to head south. This is followed by two orthogonal turns to the right to reach the finish line. Racers can take a shortcut to cut the corner at the second-to-last turn.
  • Second route: In this route, the racers instead make a slight right, leading to an encounter with a pair of Thwomps followed by a slight left. They then make two orthogonal right turns before rejoining with the first route; it continues with the first route from there. The first layout's shortcut is still viable.
  • Third route: This route starts off like the second route, but the racers make a slight right after the section with the Thwomps instead. This leads to an elevated road that has an orthogonal right followed by a counter-clockwise loop to the left and then another orthogonal turn to the right. This ends in a Glider ramp just before the finish line.
  • Fourth route: This route starts off like the first route, but then racers make a left at the intersection while heading south, following the second route backwards until they reach the next intersection; at this point, they make a left, following the third route for the rest of the lap.

Tokyo Blur appeared in the Tokyo tour. The course's first route is a favourite of Daisy with her Yukata kimono, Peach with her Happi kimono, Toad with the pit crew outfit, Mario with the Hakama kimono from Super Mario Odyssey, the Cat suit from Super Mario 3D World, and the King costume from Super Mario Odyssey, and Bowser Jr. with the pirate costume.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[]

Tokyo Blur appears as the first course of the Lucky Cat Cup. It retains its layout from Tour, but each lap uses a different route, with the first lap being the first route, the second lap being the second route, and the final lap being the third route (assuming three laps). The fourth route remains unused.
