Toad Town in Super Mario Galaxy
Toad Town is the capital of the Mushroom Kingdom, and is pretty much at the doorstep of Princess Peach's Castle. As its name states, it is home to most Toads. However, other species have lived in Toad Town as well, such as Goombas and Koopa Troopas.
During it's debut - Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars - the town itself actually appeared as Mushroom Kingdom. However, this error was rectified for the title's spiritual sequel, Paper Mario and following the amendment Toad Town has become a recurring location in the Super Mario series. However, it may not instantly be recognizable, because the appearance, design, and layout of the town have significantly varied in each individual appearance. It shares this trait with Princess Peach's Castle
