The Toad Kart is a lightweight kart which appears in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. It is the signature kart of Toad. Toad Kart is slow but has good acceleration. This Kart was made for Toad since it has a blue color scheme like Toad's shirt and has a Mushroom logo on it. This kart was the basis for the Standard Karts in Mario Kart DS. It can be unlocked by getting first place on the Special Cup in 100cc. It is a favorite for Time Trials at DK Mountain.
The Toad Kart has inspired the idea for the Standard Karts in Mario Kart DS and later installments, notably the Standard TD.
