When the player's character visits Lantern Ghost in the Horror Condo, Lantern Ghost is annoyed that they do not have a Toad Force V Figure. The Nerd Force V quest involves having to purchase a Toad Force V Figure at Junk, where they can be bought, according to Lantern Ghost.
At Junk, there is only one Toad Force V Figure in stock, as Paratroopa says that they are selling very quickly due to the show's popularity.
When the player's character returns to Lantern Ghost with the Toad Force V Figure, he notices the figure's mint condition, and promptly takes it from them. Now deeming the player's character to be an official Toad Force V fan, Lantern Ghost gives them the Poochy Pal Gaddget as a reward.
