Toad is a red Toad who lives in the Mushroom Kingdom. He is a deuteragonist in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! and The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.

Since his debut in "The Bird! The Bird!", Toad is a Toad with a red vest, red mushroom hat with white polka dots. However, his recent artwork has depicted him to resemble his video game counterpart.

Biography[]
Toad recognises Cheepy.
Toad lives in the Mushroom Kingdom. After Mario and Luigi rescued Princess Toadstool, Toad travelled with them to the Land of Ice. A Giant Birdo mistook him as her son, Cheepy. The group presumed Toad to be kidnapped by the Giant Birdo, so they head on to rescue him. Meanwhile, Giant Birdo was unaware she was "taking care" of Toad. Eventually, she decided to give Toad flying lessons by bringing him up to a high heights to drop him. As he fell, Toad used his mushroom hat as a parachute as he landed to the ground, reuniting with Mario, Luigi and Toadstool. They found Cheepy, Giant Birdo's son. Mario and Luigi decided that Toad to brings him to his mother while Mario and Luigi distracted King Koopa. After Cheepy returned to his mother, she assisted Toad and Mario by carrying them while they throw the turnips at King Koopa's minions. King Koopa and the minions retreated but Toad and Mario continued hurling turnips. Celebrating their victory, Giant Birdo served them her favorite dish which turned out to be worms instead of "spaghetti" assumed by Mario. Startled, Toad, Mario, Luigi and Toadstool ran from the house.[1]
