Tipsy Tourney is a recurring 4-Player minigame in the Mario Party series. It first appears in Mario Party and returns in Mario Party 2 and Mario Party Superstars.
The minigame can be purchased from the Mini-Game House for 350 coins in Mario Party and from Woody for 50 coins in Mario Party 2. It is also World 6-3 on Mini-Game Island in Mario Party.
Layout[]
Tipsy Tourney in Mario Party
Throughout the minigame, the four characters have their own screens, standing at their own separate frames. The background in the minigame from Mario Party resembles a set of clouds with eyes in a crayon-like art style. Mario Party 2 features a nighttime background, with a small number of clouds and stars. Mario Party Superstars uses a more realistic version of the Mario Party background.
The image in Mario Party contains a coin, the image in Mario Party 2 contains the animated head of a Toad surrounded by a ribbon, and the image in Mario Party Superstars contains either a Super Star, a Super Mushroom, or a Fire Flower.[1]
Gameplay[]
In Mario Party 2
The objective of the minigame is to uncover all the tiles on the frame with a Koopa Shell within 30 seconds. The players have to tilt the frame and let the Koopa Shell slide over the tiles to remove them. If the Koopa Shell bumps towards the player, they will be stunned for a moment. The first player who uncovers the picture frame wins the minigame.
