The Ticksquawk is an enemy in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. They are encountered in the Dream World version of Wakeport known as Dreamy Wakeport.

Description[]

Ticksquawks are enemies that resemble sentient stopwatches. Their face is black with a red hand for a nose and two white eyes on either side. On top is a red button.

Behaviour[]

In the Field[]

Ticksquawks move around aimlessly in the field left to their own devices, but if one detects the Bros. nearby, it will frantically rush around.

Combat[]

Ticksquawks can attack by approaching the Bros. and starting their timer. Once its hand nose makes a full revolution, the Ticksquawk's face opens up and it launches a small bird as a projectile. The target has to stomp on the bird in order to avoid damage; unless the Bros. jump, the birds will impale the Bros. with their beaks, dealing damage. The bird will give away a coin if stomped. There is a chance that the Ticksquawk hides its face when it performs this attack, akin to how Dark Mechawfuls may hide their timer as a Dark Mechawful 1.5.

Ticksquawks can also attack by flashing red and dash around the Bros. with short pauses between their dashes. The Bros. have to use their hammers to smash the Ticksquawk as it dashes past in the front; unless the Bros. succeed, the Ticksquawk will explode, destroying itself and dealing big damage.

Due to their ability to fly, Ticksquawks cannot be hit with the regular Hammer, the 3D Red Shell, the 3D Green Shell, or the Jet-Board Bash.

Statistics[]

Ticksquawks are considered to be Level 14 monsters, with their hit point maximum being 90, an attack power of 76, a defense of 75, a speed of 37, and a No Hitter of 18. When destroyed, they give 20 Experience Points (unless they performed the suicide attack and detonated themselves successfully), 18 coins, and, in 1 in 20 drops, a jar of Supersyrup.
