Tic-Tac-Glow is a minigame which appears in Mario Power Tennis. It is set in Delfino Plaza Court. The minigame name is a pun on tic-tac-toe, which its gameplay is also based on.
Gameplay[]
The player must shoot water balls to brown goop spots, which are spit out by Piranha Plants on a 3x3 grid on the opposite side; a Shine Sprite is found under each goop spot. To score points, the player's character has to line up three Shine Sprites either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, in a manner similar to how tic-tac-toe is played, and it is possible to make more than one match at a time. The water balls are shot by F.L.U.D.D. nozzle heads by pressing a button to turn it on. After lining up three Shine Sprites, Piranha Plants spit out goop to cover the spots again.
In the New Play Control! version, the water balls are automatically shot out from the water nozzles rather than having to press the buttons.
Difficulty levels[]
There are four difficulty levels, most of which have their own score requirement and time limit. Each difficulty level has its own specific name as well. The object of the first three difficulty levels were changed for the New Play Control! version.
