Thwomp is a character in Mario Party Advance.

Profile[]

Physical description[]

Thwomp is a representative of his species of the same name, with which he shares an appearance with, specifically their design originating from Super Mario 64.

Behavior[]

Although he has a menacing appearance, Thwomp is very lonely and desires friends. He substitutes certain words while talking, such as "tanks" for "thanks" and "da" instead of "the."

In Mario Party Advance[]

When the Thwomp House is first entered, Thwomp introduces himself before stating that he has been robbed. Offering to help solve the crime starts the Weeping Thwomp quest. Thwomp bashfully tells the player's character that they do not have to. However, Shroomlock soon arrives on the scene and asks what the situation is, and Thwomp says that forty coins had been stolen from him. Thwomp explains that while he was outside, his coins were stolen, even though all of his doors were locked. Shroomlock asks the player's character to search for clues in the Thwomp House.

When it is discovered that the only door of Thwomp House is too small for Thwomp to fit through, Thwomp admits that he lied about the robbery because he wanted someone to care about him, since nobody ever visits him. In response, Shroomlock offers to befriend Thwomp. After the situation is resolved, Thwomp gives the player the Eye Exam Gaddget in gratitude.

In the game's ending, it is stated that Thwomp became friends with Whomp, who was able to fit through the door to the Thwomp House to visit Thwomp.
