Through the Jet Stream

Through the Jet Stream is the sixth Mission (seventh in DS) from Jolly Roger Bay in Super Mario 64 and it's remake: Super Mario 64 DS.

Description[]

To collect the sixth/seventh Power Star of Jolly Roger Bay, Mario or Wario must swim through the level to find a jet Stream to collect a Power Star. The Star is collected differently in both games and have different requirements to collect it as well.

In Super Mario 64[]

To collect the star in Super Mario 64, Mario needs to use a cannon found at the start of the level to shoot him across the stage. Then, he can swim down to find a hole in the walls of the level that he can swim through. Once he has gone through the hole, there will be a Jet stream near the middle of the area. Mario has to continuously swim down it until the Power Star spawns. Once it has spawned, Mario can swim back under the Sunken Ship and can collect the Star.

In Super Mario 64 DS[]

In Super Mario 64 DS, The stage starts the same as the original version but Wario must be used to collect the Star and he has to have the Metal Cap unlocked. When Wario reaches the area where the star spawns in the original game, there is a small platform that contains the Metal Cap box. Then after collecting it, he has to leave the area and collect the Power Star inside of a different Jet Stream under the Sunken Ship.
