The Red Coin Fish is the eighth and final episode of Noki Bay in Super Mario Sunshine.
Layout[]
When Mario enters the episode, the Noki Elder's grandson immediately starts to talk to Mario and gives him the helmet. The Noki Elder's grandson concludes by telling Mario to talk to his grandfather at the top of the mountain. Here, the Noki Elder says that he and the other Nokis want to reward Mario for helping to clean their bay. Mario then has to dive down the waterfall to enter an underwater cavern previously accessed in the fourth episode, Eely-Mouth's Dentist.
The reward mentioned earlier is the eight red coins within the Coin Fish, which is also composed of several regular coins. The object is for Mario to collect all eight red coins. Because he is underwater, Mario also has to often collect coins to replenish his air supply, although the helmet allows him to breathe underwater longer. The Coin Fish occasionally splits apart, sending its remaining coins in several directions before reassembling a few seconds later. Once Mario has obtained every red coin, the Shine Sprite appears at the bottom of the cavern.
Trivia[]
- If Mario decides to obtain the 100-Coin Shine Sprite of Noki Bay in The Red Coin Fish, the Shine Sprite appears on the curvature of the orange shell instead of on top like the other Noki Bay episodes.
